Chafing dish Hendi 470251
Technical data 01 / 02
This GN 1/1 chafing dish combines a 9-litre capacity with a lid that opens to a chosen position and stays there. It gives buffet staff clear access to the food while portioning, without needing to hold the lid open.
Where it is used
The 9-litre vessel suits a buffet or banquet line where one dish needs to be ready for service in a substantial batch. Its GN 1/1 format makes it straightforward to organise within a professional gastronorm-based serving layout. The removable lid can be taken off when staff need open access to the food during setup or service.
For catered events, the chafing dish and its accessories are made from stainless steel, a material suited to the demands of a busy serving station. Two fuel-paste cups are included for holding fuel paste while warming food, alongside the water pan and GN 1/1 pan.
Care
Stainless steel resists corrosion in damp kitchen conditions and is easy to keep clean, making it practical for regular post-service wiping. The vessel and accessories share this material, so they can be included in the same routine for clearing down the buffet station.
The removable lid can be cleaned separately from the vessel, allowing staff to handle it apart from the serving pan after use.
How to choose
Check the overall footprint against the available buffet or counter space: the chafing dish occupies a defined area, while its height also affects how it sits within the service layout. At 7.73 kg, it can be carried between preparation and serving locations for event work.
The set includes a GN 1/1 pan with a 65 mm depth, a water pan and two fuel-paste cups. These components support setting up the chafing dish as a complete serving station, rather than sourcing those items separately.
