VAT Hot-dog grills give cafés, pubs and other foodservice operations a dedicated way to prepare sausages for quick service. SIA La RONDE’s range includes roller grills with one or two heating zones, as well as a separate sausage warmer. These formats suit different jobs: cooking on rollers, organising work across separate areas, or warming sausages in a tank.
Equipment and tasks
A single-zone roller grill with seven rollers suits a focused hot-dog station where staff manage a batch together. The rollers turn sausages against the heated surface, keeping the task centred on one working area. A nine-roller single-zone model offers another layout for teams comparing the space available for grilling with their service routine. Both formats are designed for roller grilling, while the separate sausage warmer handles warming rather than cooking on rollers.
The two-zone grill lets staff organise work across separate areas during service, helping coordinate cooking and holding. Its non-stick roller surface makes sausages easier to turn and lift during repeated service. For a different preparation flow, the sausage warmer’s tank holds water for warming sausages. Its thermostat adjusts temperature up to 85°C, allowing staff to manage the warming process for ready-to-serve product. Transport handles support moving the appliance as part of kitchen work.
Parameters in use
The nine-roller grill measures 566 × 450 × 259 mm. Its 450 mm width helps staff assess where it can sit alongside preparation and serving equipment on the counter. The two-zone grill has a working-surface width of 42 cm, describing the roller span available for arranging sausages. Comparing footprint and working width helps teams plan how equipment fits into the station and how staff will access the grill during service.
Rapid heating and heat recovery on the nine-roller model help reduce waiting when orders arrive in quick succession and service draws heat from the grill. That supports a steadier flow during busy periods. The roller grills have removable drip or drainage trays for collecting drips, fat and crumbs. Taking a tray out makes residue easier to clear during routine cleaning. On the two-zone model, the removable tray can be cleaned separately from the grill surface.
Choosing a product
Choose a single-zone grill when one shared cooking area suits the way staff batch and serve hot dogs. The seven-roller and nine-roller models offer different roller counts; compare their layouts with the space and service rhythm of the station. A two-zone grill is a practical option when staff want separate areas for managing cooking and holding. Its temperature control reaches 150°C, while the single-zone models provide control up to 230°C.
For a menu that calls for warmed sausages rather than roller grilling, consider the dedicated sausage warmer. Its 10 l tank supports batch planning, and temperature adjustment up to 85°C gives staff control over warming. For roller service, weigh the working area, zone arrangement and tray-cleaning routine against the tasks the station handles. Stainless-steel bodies are suited to routine kitchen cleaning, and the glass cover on the single-zone grills helps limit heat loss.
