Equipment and tasks

Water heaters are suited to hot water or mulled wine. The larger heater takes approximately 75 minutes to reach boiling, so staff can schedule preparation ahead of service rather than expect an immediate supply. Its stainless-steel vessel provides a durable, washable surface for routine cleaning between batches. Insulated handles and a non-drip tap support handling and dispensing at the beverage station.

The hot drinks dispenser is designed for water or wine heating, not milk or hot chocolate. Its glass water-level indicator lets staff check the contents during service, while the non-drip tap supports controlled dispensing. The magnetic drip tray can be removed for cleaning. For coffee, a percolator brews coarsely ground coffee and keeps it at serving temperature after brewing, making it a distinct choice from a general hot-water vessel.

Parameters in use

Capacity guides batch planning: the 25-litre heater holds a larger volume than the 9-litre dispenser, while the 15-litre percolator supports a substantial coffee batch. Select the size according to the quantity needed for the service period and how often staff can prepare or replenish drinks. The percolator’s integrated filter takes coarse grounds, so paper filters are not needed during preparation.

The dispenser thermostat adjusts from 30 °C to 100 °C, allowing staff to select a working temperature for water or wine service. The heater’s thermostat reaches up to 110 °C, supporting its hot-water and mulled-wine role. Consider appliance dimensions alongside the intended counter or storage position. A visible indicator, accessible tap and removable drip tray can also make beverage preparation and station cleaning easier to manage.

Begin with the drink being prepared: choose a heater for hot water or mulled wine, a dispenser for a smaller quantity of water or wine, or a percolator for brewed coffee. Then compare batch requirements with the available capacity. For coffee, the range includes 6-litre, 10-litre and 15-litre percolators, allowing the operator to select a batch size suited to expected service demand.

Check dimensions and electrical ratings when planning an appliance’s position and use. The larger heater is rated at 2.5 kW and 230 V; the dispenser is rated at 0.95 kW and 220–240 V. These distinctions help compare equipment for a drinks station. Also consider the preparation workflow: advance heating suits planned service, while an integrated coffee filter avoids paper-filter handling during each batch.
