VAT Electric soup kettles keep prepared food warm and ready to serve in professional kitchens. The range includes water-bath models with removable vessels and a dry-heating model that works without a water reservoir. For restaurants, cafés and buffet service, compare the volume to be held, temperature controls and cleaning routine to find an approach that fits the team’s work.
Equipment and tasks
The UNIQ kettle has a removable eight-litre AISI 304 stainless-steel soup vessel. Stainless steel is durable and straightforward to clean, and removal lets staff wash the vessel separately after service. Its tempered-glass lid has an insulated handle and a ladle cut-out, so the ladle can remain in place between portions. The two-part lid reduces heat loss when opened, helping limit changes during repeated serving.
The ten-litre HENDI kettle uses dry heating and is intended for reheating and serving soups, stews and sauces. Because it operates without a water reservoir, staff avoid filling and monitoring a water bath during the shift. Non-slip rubber feet help keep the appliance in place on the work surface. The stainless-steel inner pot and lid are suited to regular food-service use and are easy to care for.
Parameters in use
Capacity helps a team plan the quantity ready between refills. The UNIQ vessel holds eight litres, while the HENDI model holds ten litres, accommodating a larger serving volume where the menu requires it. The UNIQ is 325 mm high, useful when checking counter space and access for serving. The HENDI measures 330 mm in diameter and 398 mm high, helping staff plan its position and ladle access.
The UNIQ digital panel shows operating time, set temperature and current temperature, so staff can check the controls while service continues. Its range is 35 to 85 degrees Celsius, adjustable in one-degree steps for fine changes to holding heat. The last temperature setting is retained when power is switched on again, reducing repeat setup. A marked maximum fill line in the water tank guides preparation of the water bath, at approximately 1.5 litres.
Choosing a product
Choose a UNIQ model when a removable vessel, water-bath heating and fine temperature adjustment suit the service routine. The white and green versions share the same described capacity and functions, allowing colour to guide the visual choice for the counter. The lid’s ladle opening supports serving, while its card holder provides a place for product-name cards to help identify the contents.
Choose the dry-heating HENDI kettle when avoiding a water reservoir or holding a larger quantity is useful. Its digital control covers 40 to 90 degrees Celsius and maintains even heat during use, supporting monitored holding through service. Consider the food being served, the temperature setting required and the available counter space when comparing the two approaches. Both are designed to hold prepared food ready for service.
