Hendi Black Polycarbonate GN Containers
Hendi Black Polycarbonate GN Containers. Hendi catalogue from SIA La RONDE
Black polycarbonate GN containers provide professional kitchens with practical vessels for storing prepared food and organising ingredients through preparation and service. SIA La RONDE offers two GN 1/3 options with a shared format and different depths and capacities. Use them to keep mise en place ready for portioning, group ingredients by task, or hold a prepared component for service. The choice is between a shallower container for frequent access and a deeper vessel for a larger batch.
Equipment and tasks
A GN container gives prepared ingredients a defined place at the workstation, helping staff keep components together between preparation and use. The black polycarbonate construction is intended for food storage and does not absorb aromas or flavours, helping contents remain distinct when the vessel is cleaned and reused. A volume scale on the side helps staff judge quantities while filling or portioning.
The containers are suitable for microwave use, food warmers and equipment heating up to 110°C. This supports reheating or warm holding in the vessel within that limit. Thermal resistance from -40°C to +110°C covers cold and heated handling within that range. Dishwasher suitability supports routine cleaning, while stackability helps organise containers between tasks.
Parameters in use
The shallower option has a capacity of 2.5 l and measures H-65, D-176 × 325 mm. Its profile suits a limited quantity that staff need to reach and portion repeatedly, such as an ingredient kept beside a preparation task. Keeping a smaller amount at the station can make the working supply easier to manage during service.
The deeper container measures 325 × 176 × 100mm and holds 4 l. Its added depth provides vertical space for a larger quantity, useful when a batch is prepared together for later portioning. Both vessels use the GN 1/3 format, so the practical difference is their depth and holding capacity.
Choosing a product
Choose the shallower vessel for smaller quantities and frequent access. It suits a preparation station where ingredients are portioned repeatedly, and the side scale helps with a quick volume check while filling or replenishing. This can be useful when staff want to keep the working quantity close to the task rather than hold a larger batch at the station.
Choose the deeper option when a larger batch needs to stay together or extra vertical holding space is useful. Consider the amount to be held, how often staff will portion from the container, and whether the task involves cold storage, reheating or warm holding within the container’s thermal limits. Either option supports an organised workflow for preparation, food holding and service.
