Electric soup kettle Hendi 860540
Technical data 01 / 02
This Hendi electric soup kettle is designed to hold prepared soup hot for service, with an 8 L vessel for a compact buffet batch. Its split lid gives access for serving while keeping the rest of the soup covered, helping limit exposure and heat loss during busy service.
Where it is used
Use it on a café buffet or a hotel breakfast service when one soup needs a dedicated place on the line. The lid’s ladle notch keeps the ladle positioned through the cover between servings, while the built-in card holder puts the soup name where guests can see it. The transparent glass lid lets staff check the contents without lifting the cover.
This kettle is for holding temperature, not cooking. Prepare the soup separately, then use the kettle to keep it available for service. Its compact batch capacity suits a limited selection that can be replenished as needed rather than a broad, high-volume soup offer.
Connection and installation
The kettle operates on 220–240 V and has a rated power of 0.5 kW, giving kitchen teams the figures needed to assess it against the supply and rated load available at the service counter. The heating element sits in the water tank, transferring heat through the water to the soup vessel for holding prepared soup.
A marked maximum fill line provides a visible reference when filling the water tank before service. The appliance also recalls its last temperature setting when switched on again, reducing repeated adjustment when it is restarted for another service.
Care
The removable AISI 304 stainless-steel soup vessel can be taken out for separate cleaning. Stainless steel is corrosion resistant and has a smooth surface that is easy to keep clean in a damp kitchen environment, making the vessel practical for routine post-service cleaning.
The tempered glass lid has an insulated handle, which reduces heat transfer to the hand when lifting it. Its transparency also makes it easier to check the soup without opening the kettle during service.
How to choose
Consider the round footprint and overall height when allocating counter space on a buffet line; the body is made from high-temperature-resistant polypropylene for use around the kettle’s heat. The compact 8 L capacity is a practical match for a smaller soup batch or a limited buffet selection.
The digital panel shows the operating time, set temperature and current temperature, so staff can check the holding state at a glance. Adjustment in one-degree steps supports small changes to the holding setting, while the saved setting is ready again when the kettle is switched on.
