GN insulated food transport container Hendi 877852
Technical data 01 / 02
This GN insulated food transport container is designed for hot and chilled food, with a double wall filled with polyurethane foam to help limit temperature change in transit. Its HDPE body resists impact and moisture, making it suited to repeated handling between a professional kitchen and a service location.
Where it is used
Use the container to move prepared food from a production kitchen to a hotel service area or catered event while helping retain its temperature. The insulated construction slows heat transfer, reducing the effect of surrounding air on hot or chilled contents during the journey. This supports transport and short-term holding for service without relying on active heating or cooling from the container.
The GN-format capacity allows separate dishes or components to travel in their own containers in one load. For example, three GN 1/3 containers provide separate compartments for a mixed service, while a GN 2/3 and GN 1/3 arrangement combines a larger portion with a separate item. GN containers are not included, so choose formats to suit the load and the kitchen’s existing GN stock.
How to choose
Choose the loading arrangement around the GN formats used for the dishes being moved. Options include one GN 1/1, two GN 1/2, three GN 1/3, four GN 1/4 and other combinations. This flexibility lets a kitchen organise a transport load with different components kept apart in their respective GN containers, rather than consolidating them into one vessel.
The HDPE body’s resistance to impact and moisture suits regular handling in food-service operations, including movement between preparation and service areas. The insulated double wall helps limit temperature change while the load is in transit. Use the external dimensions to assess the space the container will occupy in storage and along the planned route, so it can be allocated to a suitable holding area and moved through the working environment.
