Percolator Hendi 211489
Technical data 01 / 02
This Hendi percolator prepares coffee in batches, with a coarse-ground coffee filter basket and a 14-litre capacity. Its matt black finish gives the unit a subdued appearance on a visible drinks counter.
Where it is used
The capacity suits group service where staff need to prepare coffee in a batch rather than brew cup by cup. At a hotel breakfast counter or conference refreshment point, the glass water-level indicator lets staff check the remaining contents without opening the vessel. Coffee dispenses from the tap, and its non-drip design helps limit drops on the counter between servings.
The filter basket is designed for coarse-ground coffee, allowing staff to brew from that grind directly without adding a paper filter. Polypropylene handles provide a lightweight hold when the unit is moved. A warning light alerts staff to overheating or when descaling is needed; the reset button is provided for use after overheating.
Connection and installation
The percolator operates on a 220–240 V supply. Matching the available mains supply to this range helps staff plan its position at the drinks station. Its 1.75 kW rated power is higher than that of most products in this category, a relevant comparison when choosing a percolator for batch service.
Thermostat indicators give staff a visual cue when checking the unit during service. The glass water-level indicator also supports routine checks without opening the vessel.
Care
The single-wall stainless-steel body is corrosion resistant and easy to keep clean in a damp kitchen, making it practical around a drinks station where splashes occur. The drip tray attaches magnetically and can be removed for cleaning, helping staff clear drips from beneath the tap without working around a fixed tray.
How to choose
Use the overall footprint and height to judge how the percolator will sit alongside other equipment on the counter. At 3.62 kg, it is more manageable to reposition when the station needs clearing or reorganising.
The adjustable temperature setting supports different hot-drink service tasks. The maximum vessel height beneath the tap helps staff choose cups or other containers that can be filled in place.
